bao-bab

bio

Creative duo Oliver Beaujard and Nina Zardalishvili go by the name of bao-bab. Named after the uniquely fantastical ‘upside down tree’, Oliver and Nina grew up immersed in and surrounded by stories, books, TV and film screens. With Nina’s background in photography and with her overreach into production design and Oliver’s graduation in directing, their dynamic combines stylised, magical realism with moments of surprise and expressiveness in storytelling and different forms of narration. Their first joint project was the award-winning short film fairytale Fleur 2017. Their repertoire spans music videos, dramatic sketches and shorts, festival promos, as well as non-profit commercials. bao-bab prides themselves on creating much more than mere pretty pictures.
